This may seem exceedingly random, but have any of you ever read Tuck Everlasting? I really enjoyed imagining different tunes for the one in the book. Then I watched the movie. I have never really been motivated to think up any since then. That was six years ago.
I find it amazing how easily human creativity is crushed, crumbled and left to die. But I don't think it as weak as some would hope. Like a seed, it may lay dry and dead for months only the sprout come the next season. Though one may squash ingenious, they cannot destroy it.
(this being another completely random post not to be considered writing or worthy reading. I merely post it as a sample of my mind.)
Btw, something I have been wondering for 7 days now: can you have colorless shimmer? Is it possible for something to be metallic and visible yet completely void of color? If you know the answer, don't tell me until I get well. It is an entertaining thought.

No, I have not read Tuck Everlasting. What do you mean by creativity being crushed?
Tell me when you get well. =D

Hi Rebecca!
The delemia I was discussing has to do with the oppression of the creative mind. Every human being is endowed with an artistic sense that must be expressed. Often times this expression takes place in the form of a reaction to the unknown. When we find that the unknown has suddenly (or at least for us) been known, and when we discover what this known factor is, we often lose the urge to create something new, since we feel that it would be purposeless.

I knew I loved you!
Never read it... sounds like an awesome book... And I wouldn't worry, your creativity has not suffered too much =)
Colorless shimmer? Absolutely.
