There are unseen lines we cannot cross; barriers invisible to both eye and soul; these are the unspoken rules
--The horizon-evermoving-the closer I get the further it appears
--Windows: clear glass offering hope, only to obstruct when I reach
--Realism: entrapping my thoughts in the iron bars of what cannot be done
--Gravity: sinking me deeper, scorning independence
These are the unspoken rules of the vocal world in which I live. They are ordinarily without question obeyed. Yet, might I ask, if we break all the others why should these be ignored?
Don't tell me what I can't do- I will soon figure that out for myself. Tell me what has not been done and let me attempt.
