is the momentary sparkle I almost missed
the winking of a star on the dreariest of nights
the knowledge that something won't--or shouldn't--or can't work out
and the belief that somehow it will.
skeptics regard such "wishing" with disdain:
why believe to be let down?
what they don't understand is that it is illogical
unless
you have something to hope in
to hope for.
