Dinner Dishes Poetry

*or Why I should find other things to do at the sink

There once was a knight
Whose armor so bright
Did shine in the glorious sun.
The giants for fright
Of his magnificent might
Did often cower and run.

A maiden he had
Delightfully clad
In garments resplendent and grand.
The dragons so bad
Grew terribly mad
And rampaged and ravished the land.

With courage he drew
and swept through and through
his sword with a movement so keen
No one could query
that his motive (though airy)
was love for his lady and queen.

In the end all was right
The battle and fight
He won and his maiden was saved.
The dragons waved white
Ceased being contrite
And from then on tried to behave.
